At Genesis West Island, we believe the measure of a company’s character is reflected in its relationship with the community it serves. It is in this spirit of service that we are honored to continue our support for Strangers in the Night, an annual gourmet gala dedicated to helping fund charities for sick children and underserved communities in Montreal and Canada.

Now in its 21st year, Strangers in the Night has become a vital gathering of neighbors standing together to support local life-saving causes. This year, an incredible lineup featuring Flo Rida, The Temptations Revue, and Max-A-Million will take the stage on Saturday, June 27th; this annual tradition is an opportunity to enjoy exceptional artistry while directly contributing to the profound impact these charities have on our community.

Strengthening Our Community

For Genesis West Island, returning to support this event is a reflection of our desire to contribute to the well-being of Montreal. The proceeds from Strangers in the Night provide critical resources to organizations that serve as the backbone of our community support systems, including:

• West Island Women’s Shelter: The West Island Women’s Shelter provides safety and support to women and their children experiencing domestic violence, offering a path toward a life free from fear. Since 1979, they have provided a safe haven and the multidisciplinary services necessary to begin a journey of healing and renewal. We are humbled to help ensure these crucial services remain available for those in crisis.
• Sun Youth Organization: Sun Youth delivers essential social services and community programs to individuals and families in need, ensuring that the most vulnerable among us have access to basic necessities. As a cornerstone of Montreal’s social landscape, they provide a safety net that spans generations, from food and heating assistance to youth mentorship. Their work ensures that no one in our community is left to face hardship alone.
• Make-A-Wish Foundation: Make-A-Wish grants life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses, providing them with the hope, strength, and joy needed to fight their conditions. The impact of a granted wish extends far beyond a single moment in time, offering a necessary reprieve from the burdens of treatment. By supporting this mission, we help provide local families with the lasting memories they need to persevere through their most difficult challenges.
